Mike Murphy - Custom Cobra Fabrications
I’ve been making parts for years for friends and club members, but just here and there by word of mouth. A few of the Queensland guys will probably know me.
I recently decided to give away my 9-5 job and focus more machining and fabricating and doing the stuff I enjoy. I’ve been putting together some standard Cobra related parts and I’ll be expanding the catalog with more items as I get them ready. At the moment I’m making boot and bonnet strut kits, Quick jacks, reflector brackets for the quick jacks. In development I have roll bar bezel kits (currently doing a production run). I also do stainless steel roll bar kits and will have something to announce on that shortly.
Boot strut kits $140 plus postage.
I designed the kit for my Classic Revival but it should work on many other Cobras. The kit includes 2x struts, brackets for the boot lid and boot opening edge as well as rivnuts for the boot lid and stainless steel fasteners.
2 brackets options. One can be glassed in for an unpainted car or bolted in on a painted car. For the bolt in bracket I also recommend using some automotive adhesive like sikaflex.
Bonnet strut kits $180. Plus Postage
To suit Classic Revival square tube cars. I’m happy to work with anyone that wants a kit designed and built for their car

Quick Jacks $280 Plus postage
Set of 4 in a brushed finish, bead blasted satin finish or painted in satin black epoxy enamel.
Polished at an additional cost.
The brushed finish works well, looks great and it’s also easy to maintain with a scotchbrite pad.
The quick jacks are machined from 6061 T6 aluminum and are one piece. They are 1/4″ thick, sturdy but light weight at less than 200 grams each.
The bolt spacing is the standard 2 1/4″ or 57.15mm and they are drilled to suit 3/8 or 10mm hardware. However if you have something different to the standard measurements I can machine up a custom set to suit your bolt spacing/diameters.
Being CNC machined means that the parts are dimensionally accurate. If you damage one of my quick jacks I can supply a replacement part that will match what you have. Also if you decide the add the reflectors later they will bolt straight up. Same philosophy for the roll bar bezels in development.
